    Hi,

Just wondering why basketball is not available for this years Winter game. Can we at least get a poll/vote to see if there would be enough people playing.
    Thank you

    Dear anenemus,

Thank you for bringing the issue up.

I would like to address this by referring to Winter Games 2010. Previously, we did manage to include basketball as one of the categories in WG 2010. Despite the reasonable cost of organising the event, we unfortunately did not receive a great response which resulted in having only 6 teams in the competition. This, we thought, is a waste of resources (such as money, time and manpower) which we could otherwise use them to focus on the qualities of other sports matches organised in WG’10. Therefore, this year, after a lot of consideration, we decided to not take the same risk -therefore excluding basketball- and rather put in extra efforts to ensure other sports matches run smoothly and also, to bring the the qualities of our games to a higher level.

We hope you are not too disappointed as there are other WGs in the future…

    Salam and hello,

    Just to confirm:

    1) there will be NO mixed doubles for this year’s winter games right?

    2) Can a person participate in both badminton and netball or badminton and futsal?

    Thank you!

    Dear Ehsan,

I would like to inquiry regarding the badminton. Is there any international player are allowed to join during the event? especially for double men.

Your consideration and cooperation is highly appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Azmi Milami

Waalaikumsalam Az, There will be no mixed badminton this year. And yes, a person who is participating either futsal or netball can join the badminton tournament as well.

Dear Azmi, no import/international player is allowed for the badminton tournament.

    Many thanks.

    Assalamualaikum,

I was wondering pasal the import players. You said an import player refers to any non-Bruneian student. So what if orang Brunei tapi bukan student/belajar di UK ikut main? Does she/he atu considered as the import player?

    Thank you

  10. Sports.secretary 12 November 2011 at 21:03 #

    Waalaikumsalam.

Sorry for the vagueness and less detail. If the Bruneian is not studying the UK, then he/she is considered as an import player as well. Definition of import players is available on the post above.

Please get your BSU card number ready for the registration.

    Thank you.
