Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,
Insya Allah, there will be Umrah trip in the upcoming Easter holidays. The trip will be led by the religious officer from the UPP (Ustaz). The brief details will be as follows:
Date
Departure: 4th April 2011
Return: 13th April 2011
Registration
Price: About 600 pounds (inc. flight and accommodation)
Those who are interested to join the trip, please contact Hafiz by emailing their name, year, university and contact details to religious.secretary [at] bsunion.org
Further details will be given once its available, Insya Allah.

The Deadline for the registration will either be when the number of registration reached the cap or 14th February 2011

Just a suggestion, because some of us may not be able to join this trip due to semester dates and uneven Easter vacation for different Uni, maybe BSU could organize another trip during the summer vacation if it’s not too much? Thanks.

Regarding your questions above:
Thir: Insya Allah, there will be a short Umrah course before the departure. Date/Time to be confirmed.
Suzi: Regarding the muhrim for female, we have discussed this with Ustaz and he mentioned this hopefully wont be an issue, Insya Allah. However, we will clarify about this again after the registration.
The tentative plan for Umrah trip will be 6
days in Mekah, 3 days in Medinah. Again, this will subject to changes.

Az: Insya Allah, we will try to do our best in organising the event like this. However, we all knows Allah is the best planner.
About your suggestion, we will discuss this again with Ustaz in the future. But there might be a plan to organise Umrah winter trip for those who are not able to join this easter, Insya Allah:)

if kiranya dalam waiting list tapi masih jua mau ikut, boleh saja bayar extra kah? i know bsunion wouldnt be able to cater semua but yes kalau participant masih kuat hati kan umrah, would bsunion still allow participation despite perhaps an increased price for the person?

Nymohidin7: Umrah trip during the summer will be unlikely to happen as most of us will be already back in Brunei and times are required during the examination period to plan for the trip. Also, hajj this year will be close to the summer period and therefore, there will be possibility that we are not given Umrah visa for summer.
Rin: Regarding the Umrah winter trip, that is still in consideration. However, if we have details on the trip, we will keep you up to date, Insya Allah
Mina2112: We are sorry to hear that. BSUnion website is our formal way of publishing the event for the Bruneian Students in United Kingdom and IERA and therefore, it is recommended that all students to check the site regularly. About the Winter Umrah trip, we will let you know the details (i.e. price, times etc) once the Umrah trip is approved.
