New Students Orientation 2009

The Brunei Students’ Union will be holding an orientation programme for new Students who will be pursuing their education in the UK. The orientation will be held in conjunction with the briefings given by MOE for new UK students. Times and dates for the events are:

1. Orientation for University students:

  • Date: Wednesday, 29th July 2009
  • Time: 8am – 4pm
  • Location: Istitue Perkhidmatan Awam, Brunei Darussalam

2. Orientation for A-level students:

  • Date: Thursday, 30th July 2009
  • Time: 1.30pm – 4pm
  • Location: Institue Perkhidmatan Awam, Brunei Darussalam

Plans for the day include presentations given by the BSUnion advising and discussing common concerns of new students, covering topics ranging from vital tasks that students need to carry out upon arrival to methods for reducing expenses in the UK.

Representatives from other Bruneian Student Societies from different regions in the UK (Manchester, Loughborough, Kent, etc) will also be present on the day. They will be there to students with relevant information about their respective areas. The societies will be briefing new students on the following areas:

  • Directions to respective Universities from London
  • Local contact details of Bruneian Seniors
  • Halal food locations
  • etc.
