The position of Lady Vice President has been removed from the constitution as the usefulness of that position has come into question in the past year. In particular, there were concerns that the role of Lady Vice President was a bar to women from being nominated and elected for the role of President. In order to dispel any future doubt as to the eligibility of women for the role of President (indeed this has been raised!), it has been decided that it is in the best interests of BSUnion to remove that post permanently. The portfolio of the Lady Vice President will be absorbed by Social and Welfare Secretaries.
