Bruneian Postgraduate Symposium 2009

The purpose of this symposium is to hopefully bring together all postgraduate research students in the UK and Eire. The symposium seeks to facilitate discussions between Bruneian postgraduate students from all academic fields and allow them to share their research and how they feel it will contribute to Brunei’s human resource development and education sectors, as well as form ties of camaraderie between students, which will provide a support system during and after postgraduate study. 

It does not matter if you do not have a fixed or specific research thesis, or if your current research is not based specifically on Brunei. We are more interested in your ideas of how the skills you are accumulating or any potential future research topics will be useful or relevant to Brunei. 

We have obtained approval and support for the venture. BSUnit/UPP has given their full backing. 

We sincerely hope that you will all participate and consider sending in papers later on (for which a future email will be sent). The hope for this symposium is that it will provide all of us with a sense of what research is being done for and about our country, present and future. For this event to be successful, all of your contributions will be necessary and deeply appreciated.
